A bloody mary, a bowl of shrimps and grits (a real Southern dish) and some mini-pancakes with maple syrup. That’s how my sundaymorning started and I liked it. My first bloody mary was the best and all the bits and bites were created with love, you could taste it.

My first night in Nashville I went to Bobby’s Idle Hour where I met the nicest people. Janet and Charles were among them. They invited me to a picking party at their home. I’d never heard of such a thing but they explained that it’s a nice get together with food, drinks, guitars, singing and fun. Well that sounded like music to my ears.

Sam Cooper, the one who leads Sam’s Jam in Bobby’s Idle Hour picked me up in his bathrobe at the hostel. While driving to our destination he told me a little bit about his story. How he came to Nashville, what the city brings him and all about magical songwriting.

When we arrived in Greenbrier we entered a beautiful house packed with people in pajamas. It was such a funny sight. The relaxed ambience, the lovely food, great people and good music made this day so cool. Really enjoyed it.
